My poor tank is a disaster, need help ASAP

Glad to hear your getting a bigger tank. Don't trash the small one though. A 4 gallon tank is a great betta tank. Find you a nice pretty boy and make him happy. :D

You're right. You beat me to that one. I've got a 5 gallon that I've been using for a q-tank that will probably have a new resident betta soon. I just want to change the substrate to black sand before I put him in.

I think you've got a serious betta jones going on, rdd1952

They are pretty things. I've thought about a little betta tank, but right now I've got my hands full.

Actually, my wife is the one that really likes bettas. The 2 bettas we have now are her's (I did rescue one of them from Walmart back in January) although she "lets" me do the water changes and maintanence. It really doesn't take long to change water in the small tanks though. Pretty easy to keep clean.

Got your own little convo goin on there!

I did concider a beta, i dont know much about them. only that I hate seein them in little cups at the pet store. I will have to read up on betas. I really do want to put something else in there, Im just scared I will kill them again. I definately need to stay away from cories for a while :look:

Are betas difficult to keep from any of your experiances??

Thanks for the welcomes..you guys are awesome! :kana:

Sorry to hijack your thread SunnyBethy. Bettas really aren't terribly hard to care for. You just need to make sure the current from the filter isn't too strong and that there aren't any sharp or jagged items in the tank that they can tear their fins and tail on. This is a good site on betta. I don't agree with everything that the site owner believes in but still there is a lot of good information about bettas and their care.

LoL no worries about jacking my thread. Thought it was funny!

Thanks for the site!
