Well this is my first journal so be nice!!

The tank is an Elite 60, with argos playsand as substrate and lightly planted with cuttings from my other tank of a similar size.

This was how it looked last Friday (22nd Aug)

We were debating whether or not to go live plants but managed to pursuade when the plastic ones were like £5.99 each!!

So here is how it looks Today (28th Aug) after just being planted

Plants are:
Amazon Sword
Cabomba
Egeria Densa
Wisteria

Currently no fish, have 5 guppies for it just giving a few more days to settle :good:

Unsure of the small grassy one, anyone know? and another which is unknown but not shown in the pictures

As i have said no CO2 is used on my other tank so hoping this will be ok :good:

Thanks for looknig Lil

the unknown plant looks like vallis nana or a saggitara specie. Are you using any ferts?

Cant you fill it with something else rather than guppies? After you get a lot it looks like dead bits of leaves floating and they make the tank look untidy lol. I hate my endlers that i have, i am taking them back which i have been saying for the past 2months

Glad to see you have used live plants :)

no :p since i already have a bizzilion guppies some of them are going in there, getting a few neons too i think, then maybe my panda cories

Will get an update pic on thursday :good: when it will have yet more guppies (my juvi's), going to keep it male only tank

Thanks here a little update picture (3rd Sept)
Also now contains 3 neons and a tiger barb that i rescued from an ice cream tub

I am totally in love with the tiger barb, he is so gentle  lets hope he stays that way

The tiger barb could get aggressive on his own. When they are kept in larger groups (6+) this calms them and hey will be fine so i would take him back to a fish shop.

just a quick update (24th Sep) the tiger barb went to the LFS

the current stocking is
3 neons (going to get a few more soon)
10 Guppies (females to be removed so will be 6)
7 Platies (females again being removed so will be 3)
2 Male BlackBar Endlers

anyway down to the pics!
