Does it have a couple of black spots on the tail, one on each tip? It would well be a Cyprinidae, you are right.. there's a list of photos on Fishbase as well.I'm pretty sure it's a Scissortail Rasbora.

If it is a scissor tail, that makes things a little bit more complicated because they're too active for glass cats (so not compatible) and need a really large tank (over 4 ft long, ideally).Yes, it does.
