this is the tank so far im looking for some plants to cover the middle back or any advice on plant positions or things like that

Add some CO2 and add some foreground plants, like some Hairgrass :good:

Also, looking at the photo, I see an absolute festival of fish :hyper: :wizard: However, I don't think it is a good thing. What's the tanks capacity and what fish are in there?

i do have a co2 tank and glass diffuser in the left back hand corner.....however the tank is a 30 gallon with regular 25 percent water changes......my mom is responsible for all the differnet fish not me

I like the color. I like the wood with the moss too. It's placed a bit center for my taste. I've got to run and eat dinner. I'll be back...

So you don't know what fish you have in your own tank??? I just thought you may be overstocked

i like the wood, what type is it and where did you get it from?

the piece of wood itself is just standard bogwood we get here in America ...nothing fancy...however having said that....this is not just 1 piece of wood.....behind this piece you will see the is multiple pieces that have been cut on angles and sanded and basically brought together to like one great natural looking piece:hyper: ....my LFS sells theses bog wood pieces and there great ...they also come on a rock back for easier planting into the tank.

It's not just as simple as saying to someone add CO2, without knowing thier tank stats. You have to think about the implications that it will have. Adding CO2 increases plant growth therefore metabollic waste also increases. This calls for more water changes (one per week, minimum). The demand for nutrients also increases (mainly macro but also micro). Whether you need CO2 is largely dictated by how much light you have. Some plants do need more CO2 than others though (HC for example). By adding CO2, the hobbyist has to do more work.
And yes, I know the OP is adding CO2.

ok this is very interesting.....basically though im 16 and im new to planted tanks......if any of you vets could give me the sold advice of what to do next and without spending tons of money ....i was be very thankful:rolleyes:

Well, as RadaR suggested, what are your tank stats? (lighting, filtration, CO2 setup, tank size, stuff like that).

Also, what are your goals?

Ok so here are my stats...

!. Bio Wheel hangout filtration (30G) 6. Ph about 6.8

2. 3 watts per gallon using a Coralife lamp with T5's 7. lights are on for 12 hours on 12 off.

4. Co2 reg with a 5lb tank and glass diffuser

5. 30 gallon tank ... i do weekly water changes and regularly fert and pump about 6 bubbles per second on my co2.

My main goal is to having something that looks awesome...i know it takes time but i want to just be able to get the stuff i need and get in and get out basically...meaing i just wanna setup the tank with an overall stunning or nice looking layout and just be able to relax haha.:hyper:

Do you know how many litres an hour it pumps?

2. 3 watts per gallon using a Coralife lamp with T5's

That's alot of light. CO2 is definetly needed.

4. Co2 reg with a 5lb tank and glass diffuser

Good good. Are the bubbles being blown about the tank thoroughly?

How much? 50%? What ferts are you using? I suggest you use a drop checker to find out roughly how much CO2 is getting dissolved into the water. 6 bubbles a second is just telling you how much is being put into the tank. Not if it's dissolving or being distributed well.

6. Ph about 6.8

Doesnt really matter but OK.
7. lights are on for 12 hours on 12 off.

Lights are on for way too long. Turn it down to 8hours a day.
