Ok, So I resealed my tank! (Not because it was leaking, just because I wanted to make it stronger)
It looks terrible from the inside, but its at least better from the outside! :)

lol, someone needs to learn how to apply silicone me thinks :D This DIY stand project could prove an amusing read too :D

Haha :)

well, the original silicone was 3mm thick, so I went ahead and made it a little "better";)
I only used half a bottle..

This is what it looks like from the outside... Is it really that bad? :(

Ever tried using masking tape to get a clean line/finish to it, or, a favourite trick of mine is to use the actual tube to scrape out the excess silicone, by turning it around and squeezing it then running it along the joint. ;)

Doesnt look so bad from the outside one only when it is full will you be able to tell.

Silicone can be scrubbed off if it looks really bad

Hello, Sorry no big update just a question. :)

I've been planning my hood and my stand, which I will be building next week, so look forward to it!! :)
But I just want to know if I can use the blue marine light (which they have on saltwater tanks) on my freshwater? It looks really cool! I would use a normal white light too.
