LOL i love your chaos pics, thats what its all about tanks and wires everywhere and kids in middle of it all trying to help this should be a health warning ad for this forum(buy one tank, join this forum then this is what will happen, big dose of MTS), glad i'm not only one.
It looks great now its all set up, tranquil again..
i have playsand in all my tanks now and would never go back to gravel, much more cleaner and no dirty gravel, mess lays on top so is easy to syphon out or if you set up powerhead to keep water movement near bottom of tank the dirt all gets sucked into the filter. Its only since i have had some barebottom tanks that i realized how much dirt and rotting food daily must get caught under gravel. keep us updated

hia angelmouse,im never going through that again!!
yes im thinking from what everyone is saying that the sand will be better,i will change, but will have to leave it a while,as i think the fish have had enough stress for at least a month!
i have a few pregnant platys in there, and have added 2 dalmation mollys, also my clown loaches ar in there, and im not risking upsetting them, but also i think they would love the sand base, ill just give it a few weeks to settle then, look into how to go about it with the minimum of fuss (( like thats possible here!!)).
thanks everyone for your lovely comments,
A Beta display in that lower tank would look awsome. Seeing that stand has really put me off buying a corner tank for my second tank opps sorry 3rd tank i baught a small one friday lol!!! curse these forums!!!. As I could have two tanks in one stand
