They are indeed nice to haves...... Way back in the 70's.... they were one of the first cichlids that I ever bred, & on those grounds, I remain fond of 'em, and they remain one of my favourites.... Relatively peaceful, but don't put your hand in the tank when they're breeding.... it draws blood!

LOL thanks for the advice, at the moment they are quite subdued, laid back and general scardy cats.

Ah cool I spend far too much time in there im on first names with them now ^^'' I really wanted the heros notatus severum they had in a few weeks ago but it sold before I went back for it.

lovely fish. i love my sevs thay are real characters. you are going to get a lot of pleasure from those guys. probably my fave cichlid of all. great looking tank you have too

Thanks mark, must admit I am really enjoying keeping cichlids, beautiful looking sev in your avatar. Looking forward to these sevs colouring up and growing, they are just starting to get red spots round the neck and they are showing some blue colours on the dorsal fins and in the face.

Lovely looking baby rotkiels, they will be stunning when they get older

Makes me miss mine that Star4 has now, currently looking all over my area for a Gold Sev but cant find one anywhere.

I was hoping for a definate ID on them as I have been admiring rotkiels for a while but never seen any available near me, so I snapped these up just on the off chance lol, I suppose time will tell.

Good look on finding a Gold Sev fingers crossed for you. Stunning tanks by the way Minxfishy, I have been admiring them for a while, wish I could get mine to look something like that but I am just so not creative and it just looks like I have plonked stuff in without a second thought when I have spent ages staring and rearranging!!!!

I was in MA yesterday and saw them Nearly bought some but decided not too. I really really want the pinstripe damba they have in very rare and very beautiful
