Current inhabitants, 1 snail..

Shrimps to come when im sure everything has stabilised. Will take a while to grow into its look, but should improve gradually :)

wrap some java moss round the wood and let it grow, itll look really nice :)

The tank has a bunch of java moss right at the back. Im growing it out, and when I have enough to take a section from, I will tie it around the wood, and hope it carpets it nicely :)

What all do you plan on stocking it with? Some cherry shrimp should be fine... But I'd let it grow in a bit before I added the shrimp.

If you dont have a cover for it I would get one asap or your nerite snail will go bye byes.

Do you mean that they will climb out of the tank and explore your house? Ewwwww.

Yep they are notorious for it. In the wild they live along the rocky banks/rockpools and regularly climb out when its damp to take advantage of the algae growing there.

introduced some plants from my main tank at home, the filter media was seeded from my main tank, and water parameters look great.
The plants were pearling today. (using a liquid CO2 additive)

Currently 3 tiny cherry shrimp in there. So, no more stock in there ever now I think :D

The nerite has made no bids for freedom yet! Strangley his activity seems to have slowed right down. Dont thik he is coping to well with the unheated conditions. Might have to take him back to the fish shop and replace him with something better suited to cooler night temps.

Any suggestions?

They should do fine in coldwater. It could be the liquid CO2, overdosing it can kill inverts.

nice setup, can you tell me what that external filter is and where it could be purchased purrrleassse??

I really like that little tank. I'd never thought about having a tank just for plants really, but i think i will give that a go. My Siamese fighters are now in a big 40gallon divided so i have a spare 15 liter tank, i think i will use that :)

I have an apple snail in with my goldies and he is very active, i would have guessed that all breeds should be? did you acclimatise him at all? i know alot of people just drop snails straight in
