My New Love.

Does anyone have these guys. I had some bad luck with these fish at first. I lost my first to my mean blue acara when I was on vacation. Then I got another that was sick when I got him I could not save him.

I have 3 healthy ones that are great. These fish are so cute and peaceful with eachother and others they school too. They are a bit like angle fish or even discus in the way they like to be together. It's fun to watch them interact with eachother I find them more active then discus and angles. Sure they are dull in color but if you look close they are amazing they have sutbtle beauty and grace. I'm so in love with these guys and think they get over looked.

Anyone keep these guys? What do you think about them? How old and big is yours? I read in the wide them get to 5" but never more maybe because they don't live long enough. In the tank they can be 8" so I have read.

I was only saying to mermaid mel the other day who has one that I;ve always wanted some but never seen them for sale. This is because a mate had a 5 inch pair about 15 yrs ago and they have always stcuk in my mind as amazing fish since then

I love these guys they are little punks but in a good way. These little guys are great I recomend them for sure.

Here is the one my blue acara help kill. I moved the mean acara to another tank so no worries this time.

I will get a shot of my new ones soon.

As they should be. They are like severums but funny if that make sence. I will get photos of my 3 once my camera is charged.
I getting mix info on these guys. Some people have said they are aggresive. That they fight eachother and will rip Anglefish a apart. Even barbs will pick on Anglefish. What I see is they play with eachother. a little chase here and there no lip locking. I don't think some of the people that call them aggressive know what a real cichlid fish fight is like.

If anyone that has kept them for longer them me could add some info it would be cool. Yet it seems like not many people have these guys.

Hiya I got one the other day, a 'find' because I am guessing someone had returned him to the store, he was much bigger than all the 1 inch fish in the tank with him, he only cost me a fiver, yes they are very lovely, remind me of a cross between a green severum and a pearl gourami. Am finding mine to be very sociable and chirpy!

FYI anyone that wants these guys just know that they like to eat plant. They are almost as bad as severums with eatting plants.
