The male looks like a notatus? The spots are bigger then noramal greens and notatus are my fav.

You think so they are both still rather dark at the moment, will have to have a good look when they are fully settled. Dont mind either way he is just gorgous. Not going to get a bigger tank, just going to seal up the conservatory and fill it with water

Yes from that photo it looks like a notatus to me. Thoes dots are big and the head shape is more round. If you could get a better photo of them that would help.

Now he has settled a bit, i think you maybe right snowflake or he is a green x notatus as he is increadibly dark but spotty not stripy Will have to ask Minxy over with her brill camera

He looks like an Efacsticious with a bit of tapajo blood in him somewhere thats what often gives the reddish spots to greens. Its the rio tapajo sevs that have the most red spots in them all over - as opposed to the true Severus which just gets red spots down its sides.
