I am the Loach Queen...fear me, mortal!
Well, I have an empty 10 gallon set up, fully cycled and everything, all it needed was fish. I was going to do Killifish, but the only ones I can get around here are Yellow Panchax, and I decided it would be sorta cruel to put a 4" fish in a 10 gallon.
So instead I decided to make it a fry tank, seeing as how I have all those livebearers and all.
Since Cyrus (one of my bettas) has been absolutely wonderful (almost like a father) with the two Swordtail babies he was living with, I decided to put him and one of the baby Swords in the fry tank (the other wasn't getting bigger because the other Sword was taking all her food.
).
So, then I had a half of my 7.5 divided tank empty. It looked so lonesome without a betta, that I had to go out to buy one.
The store we went to had a ton of CTs. There were a few that I really wanted to get, but my boyfriend absolutely fell in love with this little guy instantly and had to have him...so I gave in.
He's really quite cute, and has a ton of attitude.
He has a bit of a defect on his tail, so I won't be breeding him, but he's cute all the same.
He also can't be more than like 5 or 6 months old...he's super little...only like an 1.5" long without the fins.
My boyfriend named him Mantas (pronounced like the bug
), after one of his friends by the same name.
So if you guys are still reading this (though I highly doubt it by now
), I'd like to introduce you all to my new little friend, Mantas!
