Hi there, just looking for a bit of advice.

I bought a clow fish afew days ago but due to my fault i didn't realise it had a white growth on the side. Now there are two more on it's fin.

I went back to the shop I bought it from and there clown tank has now got a little out break. The shop keeper seems to think it's white spot caused through stress?

As I only have one tank with corals I can't use conventional methods, therefor I was recomended a Cleaner Wrasse, which doesnt look like it wants to do anything but laze about on the rocks  .

Does anybody know what else I can do?

Help

I would either remove the clown fish to a treatment tank (only has to be small) and treat it using conventional methods, or ask the fish shop you bought it from to take it back and treat it for you. I personally do not think the cleaner wrasse is a good idea (is it possible that the fish shop wanted to sell you something else, or am I just cynical?).

You could head to walmart and get a little 3 gallon rubbermade tub. They also have those new small whisper filters that can go right inside the tank. Just suction that thing to the side, fill up with NSW, add meds and the fish and you have a nice $12 QT tank. Just watch the temp or buy one of those small plastic 77 degree heaters for 5 bucks that they have.

Hi there I had the same problem, I managed to get a product by a company by eSHa OODINEX its a wide range treatment that is invert freindly. I am in the uk tho and the product is from the neterlands. If you can get it its worth a shot worked for me.
