N0body Of The Goat
Oddball and African riverine fish keeper
I would not go on the dorsal extensions too much, more on their general size (females max out at only ~8cm compared to ~12cm for males); the stockiness (my ~8cm male is noticeably bulkier); plus the size of the forehead bump (broody females do develope small lumps, but they are nothing compard to the males).
If you remember me telling you about my original Lionhead ages ago, that had the thin dorsal extensions that went beyond its caudial fin, well all four now have not got a super long extension. I think the original one was a female and bonded with the juve male in that trio I bought in Cadnam.
I would really appreciate you doing the courier research if interested, as I have to confess that my Seasonal Affective Disorder symptoms are coming on in leaps and bounds (as they always do around September), where my energy levels plummit and my stress management melts like chocolate.
As for your Tipalia, it looks stunning! What species is it?
Right now, I do have a "stocking headache" after all but the African Butterfly having to leave to Rio240, even the Hypoptopoma had to be moved two nights ago after mum had a go at them! My 540l is horribly overstocked right now (see sig... What gets me is that all but the Golden Wonders try and stay in the bottom quarter of the tank!) and a monster sized fish will not help, even if it is naturally a riverine fish and would be happy at 22C
