Thank you Laura, I have two others, but one of them is very camera shy. He kinda stresses a little when I try to take a picture so I leave him alone, and my other one is sick He is doing better though. He reminds me of a rooster. :3 With his spiky red fins and tail. That's a magnificent betta.

I'm pretty sure its Ich. I am currently treating him with the meds that are specific for bettas. Good news though. He has been really active today, so I think that its working! I am so happy. I spoke to my LFS and she suggested maybe I was changing the water too often ( I was doing 50% every other day because its an unfiltered tank) and she thinks the frequency may have caused him stress and caused the outbreak.

I never thought of it like that lol, but now that I am looking at him, he does kinda look like a rooster hehe

So, I don't know if I should be concerned or not. Mr. Royal seems to be a very fearless, agressive fish. My cat was curious. He flared at my cat. Straight gave my cat the business lol

Doubtful that changing water every other day is the cause. Without a filter that is what i recommend. %50 every other day. Glad the ich treatment seems to be working for the fella.
