My New Bettas

I read on here how to make them I cannot remember (sorry) to whom to give credit.

The divider I bought for birthing in my guppy tank cost me $11.00

This time I bought plastic canvas and book report end slides(on each side). Cut to fit and sluggly put it place. Works like a gem and cost me 75 cents per divider.

Which gives me more money for fish

I probably should of started a new thread rather than adding it on here. I will try this first and see if I get any answers.

This is a picture of Torch's tail fin. Is it Fin rot? Her fin does not seem to look the same as when we got her 5 days ago.

You can see in the original photo that it has some darkening on the edge, but nothing like it is now.

Well, that divider idea would be ME!! LOL Im glad to see someone else has had success with it as well.

As for the possible fin rot...if it is black around the edges, then yes that's what it is. A good treatment of maracyn-2 should clear it right up. My herb is dealing with it right now, the dead parts have already fallen off. He's got a few more days of treatment before he's done.

Good Luck and glad to see that the betta bug has hit yet another person.

Thank you freashwatergal!! I love your dividers better than the store bought one by far.

As for the fin rot. I started by putting malafix in today because I will not be able to get to a store until Friday. We live out in the middle of nowhere. I will pick some maracyn 2 up then if it will be ok that long.

Should I seperate her or just treat all of the ones in the tank?

I'm treating my whole tank. So far I haven't seen any ill effects with the two others that are in the tank with Herb.

It should be ok with melafix. That treats fin rot as well doesn't it? If so then you might not have to worry about getting maracyn-2. Good Luck

Your tank dividers look so neat and clean...When I made mine I smeared silicone all over the place! Very nice bettas! I like the red,white and blue patriotic colors!
