Thank you :) Ive wanted a betta for ages - finally got one and it was worth it.

Welcome and a very nice betta and tank. Is it going to be a betta only tank or are you planning to put some more fish in? If so what.

Hi, Thank you for your comments.

At the moment, there are two small honey dwarf gouramis in there. I tried to do as much research as I could but there was so many conflicting sites about what you could put with a betta, in the end I took the advice of a friend who has had a betta with her dwarf gouramis with no problems. At the end of the day, if anything kicks off I can take the gouramis back to the big well known shop I bought it from (Who were also adament dwarf gouramis will live happily with a betta - although i definitely don't trust their opinion). So far so good though, they have met, the gouramis went up to Kazuto with their "feeler" things and poked him abit, he just looked at them as if to say "what on earth are you doing" then casually swam off. I will keep a close eye and see what occurs, I dont mind a bit of flaring etc, but if theres any biting - they will be straight out.

As for other tank makes, im not too sure yet, i know my partner wants a few tetras but i've heard they can fin nip so im being cautious. I dont want to over stock the tank either.

its the 48L Fish-Box one from interpet (I think thats 10g?). Lots of hiding places as well so that will help.

After he's all settled in now. He's discovered he can go into the head decoration, I assume thats where he plans to sleep!
