Some very nice fish you have there :good:

One thing though if you thought your last stocking was aggressive just wait till this lot grows a bit

Haha i know ;)

The issue was pairing off gone wrong with the GT's

I had multiple Males and females hoping to get atleast 1 pair and they ended up trying to kill eachother instead of breeding so gave up and trade most of them back in (for full refundage!! :D )

Nah i doubt it :p done weirder more agressive mixes in the past :p its all about the M/F ratio

Back about ten years ago i had a standard 4ft tank (back before i had the Internet and LFS's where the only source of info) which was 4ftx1ftx1ft...

In this tank I had 2 Oscars,a Jaguar,Convict, a Red Devil and 2 Blood Parrots along with about 20 Hybrid Zebra Mbunas somebody gave me and 2 common plecs....running off 2 internal filters! and never did any water changes!!!! lol

Anyway i had that tank for about 3 years till i got bored with it and sold it on with all the fish in tact...adult sizes...cramped as hell with green water...planaria everywhere and what was once white sand was black!

Not proud of it...but that was a much crazier combo than what i got now ;) got them all about the same size as the ones i got now...all grew to adult sizes...all ate agressivley...argued with eachother and lip locked but no deaths the whole time i had it!

Awesome Stocking :good: ! Was on the lookout myself for an Argentea but decided to get a bunch of juvenile red terrors (festae) instead. Most Vieja species can be aggressive, Argentea included. I would just keep a keen eye on it when they start to mature as, as we all know Cichlids each have their individual personality.

yes mate exsactly it waaaaaaaaayyyy overstocked probally didnt have room to fight over anything and too cramped with fifthy water, would you bother fighting for that,

Mate i have kept an array of cichlids as everyone know's and been through all those aggressive cichlid's, i love cichlid's and now have come to the conclution that i will have cichlid's again but with a huge tank and lots of species tank's...

Iam only offering my exsperience, i had two oscars/1 male jaguar cichlid/1 vieja bifa/1 jack dempsey/1 green terror and all lived prefect for two years then bang full maturity hit and all hell broke loose in my 150gallon, then i tried different sinerio's and all worked for a while but ultimatly ended bad in the end, now iam down to a single chocolate cichlid,

Take our advise if you will, if you dont then thats your choice, Tell me how it goes in 2-3yrs time ;) If it works then congratulations, lord knows ive been there and tried even now still ,

but as with old world cichlid's keeping south and central americans the same to a degree works but not nice to see them cramped in together, my lfs had a 5ft/1/1.5ft with 7 oscars/4jags/5blackbelts and alot of green terror juvi's in the tank, that was crammmed and there was nooo fighting at all, basically because theres nothing to fight over, but fish keeping is about recreating there natural envioroment not "fish having"

Yeh man :) hope you didnt think i was being rude etc..

If it dont work...gives me the excuse to start something else ;) hahahaha

na rudeness doesnt bother me mate
Just know how annoyed you get with cichlids, iam waiting now to get my wild caught cichlids when i move....
Even now with my tank i have a huge spotted silver dollar and a redtailed black shark with cause more aggro than the snakeheads

I was thinking of adding a few Silver Dollars in as dithers...will probably keep my number of Convicts down to :p
