Here is my common pleco, very happy to have lots of room!

My guppies are too fast to take pics of unless they are asleep! And my kribs are currently stalking each other....:p

Fraid 4ft is a bit small for a common :) but looking good so far, keep it up!

Thanks everyone! I love Squidwards house :p but I won't be getting Spongebobs I'm afraid!
I know my common pleco needs bigger, I'm hoping to get a 6ft later in the year when my house gets extended but the 4ft should be fine for him for now! He's still only about 2 1/2 inches long so I've got a while yet!

your commons not a common ;)

Its an L001 - will get to 10-12" - Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus

common name : Gold Spot Plec

You sure? because we get loads of these around here, i ended up with one just like this which turned out to be a gibby, i think its hard to tell when so young.

Ya but they rarely all look the same, my gibby looked nothing like the bottom picture, was just like the top untill it matured a little.

:S Will try and get another pic of him, see what you think then... I have had him for about 2 months now and he has grown since then but obviously has some way to go! His colouring has altered slightly though... and he does seem to have a yellow stripe at the end of his tail, which I haven't seen on any oher common plecos

woo! Though I don't know if this is better or worse..... he will still grow pretty big, right? Maybe it will mean I got a bargain I guess, as I paid about £4 for him :).
