hello guys,

Does anyone have any suggestions for some nice large peacefull fish that can go in my vision 450? Im looking for sometthing nice and colourfull and big in size (Bout 6 inches???)

Thanks in advance

Adam

Adam. I have 2 jurupari (eartheaters.) they are not very colourful but rather sparkly fish. also, marble angels are quite nice. In my new 400 litre tank, I have a total mishmash of attractive agressive fish, and less attractive peaceful fish. seems like you can't have one without the other!

My smaller Mbuna tank seems to meet all requirements, but agression again is an issue

Angels, discus, gourami, silver dollars, silver sharks, clown loach, severum, bristlenose or bulldog plec

450 litres = 118.88 US gallons

So it is actually a bit bigger than you thought, most people here use US gallons for fish stocking :thumbs: .

Have you got any fish in the tank just yet?

Many fish are not strictly tropical or coldwater, but rather occupy the sub-tropical range (19-23 degree's) and tropical or coldwater temps.
If i were you i would do a subtropical tank with red lin torpedo barbs (they are shoaling fish which grow to 6inches and have stunning colours);

Dojo loaches;

Yoyo loaches;

Maybe some shoals of pearl danio's, bloodfin tetras and White Cloud Mountain Minnows(WCMM's);

Albino and bronze corys;

Etc....Anyhoo, thats just what i would do, Red Line Torpedo Barbs are gorgeous shoaling fish and a good size too at 5-6inches, their only drawback is that they can be quite expensive to buy, and they do prefer well filtered sub-tropical/cooler tropical tanks, but other than that they are quite hardy and are full of energy and activity and look great :good: .

One of the smaller bichirs? Delhezi or Senegal. :good: Or maybe two senegals :D

Congo tetras are nice. :good:

Radar, i have three of them and they have nipped alot of my fishes fins. :crazy:

Yep, platies, swordtails, goramis, a clownloach, RTBS. :crazy: :crazy:

Hey Adam,

I had one of the yoyo loaches and they are great to watch in the tank. they find some really odd places to hide and are pretty acive. They are nice to look at and very active.

I would have to go with SJ2k on the discus shout though!! If i remember rightly your other fish would all work well with them other than the parrots.

Goodluck on your decision

Craig
