My Mollies have white spots....

I just put the salt in last night and the temp is now up to 80 F... Most of the white spots are gone already! WOW :D

That's great just keep an eye on the fish, good luck.

You could pm the mods and ask them to put it on chit chat for you, put in your thread when should i do a water change and redose with salt,

I found this thread fascinating as we are having a problem with whitespot. Got a community tank with tiger barbs (not too aggressive!), swordtails, guppies, cories, dwarf aquatic frogs and cherry barbs. Can we add salt to this tank and up the temp to get rid of whitespot (ick)? WE have been treating with chemicals to some degree of success but I would prefer a more natural treatment.
thanks

:D

I'm afraid not you have cory in there and they don't tolerate salt as they are scaless fish.

I know I have asked this question before but I still dont understand... What is the difference between a scaless fish and a fish with scales?

And no one has anwsered my questions in the chit chat forum!

Just a little confused.....

Glad the treatment is working. I have read that ich can take a while to go. Sounds like it is going from your fish. Good luck. :)
