My male guppy is...

It's entirely normal for Male Guppies to be nipping fish. They have very high sex drives, and will try to mate with most female Livebearers. They will also sometimes pick on male Livebearers, because they seen them as competition. Don't worry, he's not doing anything abnormal. :) And he'll never really stop this...the female will have her fry, he'll impregnate her again, and then he'll go back to picking on other females and picking on the males. The Guppy life. :p

And you can have Male Guppies together, as long as they are in a group of at least 5. This is to spread out the aggression. The reason he killed the other male Guppy, was because he was dominant, and constantly picked on the weaker one. If you have 5 or more, this will be much more spread out.

Good luck!

I don't want the fry. The female was sold to me pregnant and I didn't know. When she has them, if I just leave them in with the other fish, they'll get eaten right?

Probably some. Not all. Unless you have very aggressive fish. Most fry aren't stupid...they'll find aplace to hide, and a way to get food. Though the number of surviving fry will be significantly cut down. :) Also, remember, if she has a male in the tank with her, she'll KEEP having fry, every month. And some will survive...this can amount to a lot of fry overtime, depending on how fry-eaterish the fish you have are.

Well in the tank i've just got platys and the two guppies, I don't think platys are fry eaters. Do you know if flying foxes are fry eaters?

If some do survive, I could just give them to my LFS, he buys them for 50 cents each.

Platies are fry eaters, along with the Guppies, and the flying foxes. Some still may survive though.

But it sounds like you have a place for them to go. I'm very glad of that, some people don't think this out, and end up over-run with babies. Good job!
