I finally got to get a good pic of him, he has decided to make the top of my driftwood his home, instead of hiding all day long.

He is just a little guy, maybe pushing one and a half inches at the most.

My 6 year old daughter call's him George, I don't know where it came from, but thats what she named him.

I had the same problem with my Golden Nugget :D He's only 2.5" long and liked sitting under the bogwood until last night when he came out to lie on top of the gravel right at the front of the tank :p

Nice plec guys....How big do those guys get both the gold nugget and the rubbernose?? I'm thinking of trading in my common plec as he's starting to get pretty big....

awsome plec!

i neva knew u could get rubbernoses that small

i thought the only plec u could by that small was a bnose

Awww, he's so tiny tsr! I love him! FOTM for that adorable little George!

And dwarf dude, you can get all sorts of plecs that small...my Mr. Sprinkles was just under two inches when I bought him, and he's a common plec...I can't wait to watch him grow big and strong. :D

I believe that the rubbernose gets somewhere in the 7-8 inch range at tops,
my lfs got them in, but only had 4 of them in the shipment, usually they get them larger, in the 3-4 inch range. Little George cost me $7, which I had wondered if I should have got him since he has hid for the last month, but now he is right out in the open and seems to not be people or camera shy at all! He must have decided that they 2 little girls running around all day long are not gunna stop, so he might as well go nibble on that tasty looking algae at the top of the driftwood. It is a good place for him, he is about 4 inches from the top of the tank and right under the CF light, the algae grows back in about 2 days after he clears off a spot... kinda like cattle in a pasture.. theres always new greens to eat.

EDIT: He has also decided to hide in the mass of Java Moss that is right below him when he gets spooked, you can see just a few shoots of it growing up in the picture just below him. Maybe I can get a pic of him in there!
