yeah, great job!
much better than any of mine :p

its really nice, i have 2 gravel atm, and im about to set up my 3rd tank with sand..
it looks neater, and more like a natural environment (my opinion)

Your tank looks might fine to me. I like the sand, all my tanks are pea gravel but in time i will change to sand . Well done :good:

I've just noticed you have the fluval 2+ pump-good choice my friend.

Well thank you for the modesty!

i'm pretty chuffed considering i 'designed' it myself hehe!

my other tank has gravel sand i think looks more natural and more attractive but its a bit of a ***** to clean in the first place but also i find that any bottom dwellers churn it up more than gravel!

my balloon molly does enjoy spitting it all over the place though which is pretty amusing to watch!

I've actually got the Fluval 2 internal AND i'm running in
Fluval 205 external pump - which will be replacing my internal filter in about 2 months time

nice tank i really like the effect the sand has but you have some stocking problems. the bala(silver shark) will grow to 14 inches and will need about 150 gallons also the 2 puffers in your signature will need about 35 gallons each becuase they do get agressive.

Thanks for the advice.

I have done my research - silver shark CAN yes you are very accurate there - CAN grow up to 14 inches... in the wild. Far less likely in aquaria more like 6-8 inches which i agree is still big BUT the other thing is... it's not going to do this overnight... i think i've got a little time on my hands to get a bigger tank sorted.

And as for the Puffers.... they CAN get aggressive.

:good:

ok just checking, and you are deff right about havng time even in large aquariums they do grow quite slow my largest bala in my 180 gallon is about 9 inches but it took 6 years for him to grow that much since I got him at 4 inches :good: but they do like be in groups of 3 or more they will be much more active and have much better personality and when alone they can be somewhat agressive as they age.
