My Lfs Has Threadfin Paradisefish

I love the fact this hobby can still surprise me after 20 yrs

went to my LFS yesterday and it had a fish I;d never heard of before a threadfin paradisfish. Beautiful fish and £70 as well.

Has anyone kept one of these beautiful fish before?

There is no such thing as a 'Threadfin Paradisefish'. They will probably turn out to be Malpulutta kretseri or Pseudosphromenus dayi or Pseudosphromenus cupanus. I am fffamiliar with them but I've never kept any species of Paradise fish because I don't like them. Are you sure they are Paradise fish for sure?

Polynemus paradiseus just found it on internet. My shop has it as a threadfin paradisefish and google searches show that name and paradise threadfin. beautiful fish though and ver yrare in hobby it appears as well

Thats what I thought, but since you said labelled paradise fish (an anabantoid), I got confused.

But £70 seems a reasonable price for a rare fish.
