as a few of you may know i watched my kribs lay eggs last night. the female moved the eggs to the front of the cave. Now, i have 2 kulhi loaches in with them and one little swine keeps going into their cave and causing havock. will he eat the eggs. when he was in there and mum and dad were fighting him off i seen a few eggs float around and then when they chased him out mum fixed them. will the eggs be damaged.
thanks. also i bought tubeifex today to feed my molly babies in the community tank and also to feed the little ones when and if they hatch. is there any other good nutritional fish food for fish which i could use.
thanks

It's best to have only the breeding pair in a tank if you want 100% sucess...
Is this there first attempt?
If it looks like its still going good today then leave them to it, micro-worms and fresh hatched brine shrimp are the best food's to feed fry.. :good:

yes first attempt it is. eggs are still ok and mum and dad taking turns to gaurd the eggs. i am going to leave the lights on until they have their fry that way they can defend their cave better rather than in the dark.

well you could but its not natural.......if i was you, this time as its a first anyhow i would watch and see what happens and how the react to parenthood, if it goes pete tong, then remove the other's leaving only them,

haha i would but because it is their first time the female just dropped her eggs over the cave floor then she moved them to the front where i cant see. haha so if there are wriggeleres tomorrow mabee on saturday they will be free swimming.

have a look at my channa ornatipinnis thread, frist few pages for pics of eggs with tails,hehe.....once they hatch they usually move them to another place and you should be able to notice them :good:
Have a look at markandhisfish thread up near the top...krib with fry

so far so good. mum still gaurding cave and dad still gaurding outside. would there be wriggelers today or tommorrow.
thanks
