Hi all thought it was about time I posted some Pics of my planted aquarium, a Jewel Rio 180.

This tank has been running just over 8 weeks, it was cycled with 10 neons and a few plants to begin with (ok a bit of a mistake), and has had fish and additional plants gradually introduced, plants and fishes are doing fine.
I had a bit of a problem this week with a nitrite spike in the tank after replacing the Nitrate sponge in the internal filter, which was quickly brought under control by some Homebred 'Hyper Nitrabacter' (Interpets excellent 'Filter Start' product, and live coral chips in the filter, as the P.H had dropped to 5.0 also).
I call them 'Hyper Nitrabacter' coz they managed to consume 1.6mg of Nitrite in 24 hrs, pretty good going methinks.
Anyway, enjoy, pls post any questions or comments,

The Betta's have been great to be honest, no trouble, and they have increased loads in colour over the past few months too, as have the Neons and Harlequins.

Tank looks great, dont like the male betta in with female and gourami, he looks a little tattered to me, keep an eye on them

Will do m8 cheers, I need to get a photo of the male siamese with his 'Goatees' out and displaying, he looks much better then. :good:

The 2 plecs like to have a bit of a scuffle, will seperate them if they don't calm down.
