I love this little Dude.
Polys, Snakeheads, Arowana are my main collections, but this dude has a special place in my heart.
None of my other fish have a personality quite like this guy!

When I got him at about 2": (around late November '09)

From mid January '10 at around 4":

Such a fun fish, only problem is cleaning his tank.
Gets a lot of algae, which I have to scrape off as you can't keep ANYTHING in a tank with these guys, so no plecs! He also like to rip my hands to pieces whenever I put my hand in. Super aggressive fish!

got these in my LFS

Beautiful fish and they don;t half look better as they get older

:good:

I have seen the father of mine, he is about 14" in length and looks awesome.
Hope mine grows like him!

They are great fun Nelly.
I have him in the tank right next to my "TV" armchair, he loves human company and watching the telly!

Most of the one's i have seen seem to be pretty dull in the colouration, your's is really nice and coulourfull! Is it any perticular type of flowerhorn?

I haven't got a clue what type mate. I have asked on Flowerhorn forums before never got a reply. I think it COULD be a "Blue Dragon".

Really beautiful, and some nice pics. Are you using a DSLR by any chance? If so, what model, lens, etc?

Hi. I mainly shoot using Canon DSLR, sometimes Nikon.
As for lenses, I have many, so all depends. Usually for Fish, the standard 18mm is fine.
