hi everone, i was given my fish and tanks and stuff about 14 months ago. dont know a great deal about raising fish but i`m loving everyminute of it!!
This is what i have
6 x harlequin rasbora
5 x neon tetra
6 x red eye tetra
2 x albino coryoras
3 x dwarf gourami
2 x silver shark
2 x honey gourami
these are all kept in a 149 litre tank
the 2 albino coryoras regularly mate, i have 1 baby that is 6 weeks old and lives in a 16 litre tank which also contains 50/60 eggs from the same parents( have already started hatching)
if there is any other important info i have left out let me know
Thanks mad mac
sorry to hear about your baby fish
this is the first time i have been able to seperate them from their parents, i`ve leant to notice how they act before they are reay to lay, luckly for me the female cleans the glass then picks them up when he`s done his part!! and sticks them to the glass ( usually the front as it is the easiest to clean ). as soon as she has i swoop it with a razor scraper and my net collect them all and put them in the small tank. so far so good... i`ve just put the second batch of eggs in the small tank ( only 8 weeks since the first batch, ony one of these survived and still lives in the small tank) i hope he is not to big that he will start eating the new fry!
