My Fish Tank - In Progress

I like the looks of your tank. I love tropicals but that tank would look awesome with small colorful African cichlids! JMO! I am seriously considering buying a 100 gallon with stand and making it one huge tropical tank! I think it would be awesome and I have a neighbor with one for sale at only $50 US!

I can't wait to see what it looks like with fish!

That's what we had before we changed the tank layout. We had two cichlids and a Parrot Fish but since I joined this forum I discovered that our 180 litre tank was too small! :( Looks like we might have found a new home for the Parrot fish though :D

I can't wait to see what our tank looks like with fish I'm so excited

Is that a sand substrate?
Yup it sure is :)

I nagged at Chris (my bf) and finally he agreed to bury my silicon pipe for me bless him :D So here's a photo of it now it's sorted. There is still a bit of pipe you can see on the left but maybe I can get another plant to hide it or something :/

I also managed to get a close up of my Neon's today, excuse the poor photos am still learning how to take photos of fish :*)

All 15 are still alive and well and have been in the tank since Monday :D

That looks really good. I have 6 neons and they arent quite as big as the ones you have, but they really add color to the tank and school with my danios. Im changing over to sand tommorrow. Time after time Ive seen tanks with sand and liked them. Everybody says they like it a lot more too. Your tank looks great, keep us updated

EDIT: What kind of sand is that?? It really looks good

It's my first time doing a tank from scratch and I have to be honest I had a lot of help from my bf. It's been great though and I am still reading loads to try and learn more about the Neon's and the fish I would like to have. I could swear that the Neons I have were smaller when I got them it feels like they have grown loads already but I doubt they actually have. My bf advised me on getting 15 so they would school.

We had gravel in our tank before we went for the sand it's the first time my bf has used it and so far he has been dead impressed. It looks better, brightens the tank and highlights the fish.

Thanks for the postitive comments will post some more photos when I get my next installment of fishes :D

All I know is that we bought it in a large bag for £23.50 from our local aquatic center. I will check with Chris see if he can tell me more as I am still learning
