I'm pretty sure fish aren't all that familiar with base human anatomy and will more than likely not realise it's a model of a human skull. There's nothing scary about skulls. You have one keeping your brain in after all, it's just got a bit of skin and muscle over it.

haha true true is 25 fish too unrealistic over a staggered period. 25 in total will be the whole amount. Mostly guppies and tetras. i think there might be around 6-8 mollies / platys a mixture. depends when i get to the LFS!

Suggestion, try adding some more ornaments, or plants if you want.

One of my books suggests that you stock a tank based on surface area (due to carbon dioxide exchange and I am not suggesting this is above the other rule!!!) and I think it is 1 fish for every 75cm2. I guess it would be possible to work out your surface area 100ltr / 0.001 = 100,000 cm3 divide this by the height of the tank in cm to give cm2.

I am sure someone will correct me though!

if you have a good filter system 25 fish is very realistic

Why not stock up to 15 fish over a period of time, leave it to settle, and then very slowly add up to 5 more which brings you to 20 fish . Better to slightly understock than overstock if you aren't sure.

Thanks for the compliments, yes i am getting more plants for the right hand corner, my filter is a fluval 3 plus (upto 130 litres) which are brill filters!

good idea by the way i will stock up to 15 then, (i Have 8 fish already) so then i will leave the tank because it will already have fishes in for me to spend hours gawping at!
