My Fish Is Dieing

My fish Frank is almost 1 year old. I got him in 2011 christmas. latly he is sleeping altot. almost upside down but then when i make a loud noise or shakes him he swims fast then goes back to sleep i'm scared that today is his last day.

I would do a big water change, as soon as you can, making sure the new water is warmed and dechloirinated, of course.

What size tank does Frank live in? Does he have a filter? How often do you normally change his water (and how much)?

Don't scare or shake him into moving round any more; it'll stress him out, and stress can kill fish.

It could just be that he's old; bettas aren't very long lived fish, and there's no way of knowing how old he was when you got him But do the big water change and see how is is then

i Just changed his water about a week ago. I belve he has ick.

Do you have a filter on his tank? If not, you need to do daily water changes to keep the harmful ammonia and nitrites down. Doing this will immediately help him feel better so that you can treat his ick more effectively
