Hi all,

I'm new here, hope this is the right area for the post, please move if not.

I'm in the slow process of setting up a fish house and value your comments/advice.

Take a look at my link.

looking good.going to have to have a look at something like this myself lol

My mates planning on building one of theese (or getting me to do it for him)

How easy have you found it???

And when its up and running i`d like to know about any humidity/damp problems you may have so i can account for them when it comes to building this one

looking good. did you consider raising the floor to make the room a wet room for easy water changes? also look out for humidity controlled extractor fans they are ideal for this type of application, if not you may suffer from damp. how do you plan to heat the room? from my experience you can heat a room and the diffrence in water temp at top and bottom is only about 4 degrees. far cheaper than tank heaters especially as you are insulating with that kingspan type stuff.

I'm planning on space heating, not individual heaters. At the moment I'm looking into using an LPG gas heater with a thermostat on it, I'll post a link to it later.

The wet room floor was not practical so I'll be fitting several stand pipes that flow into a central drain running down the outside of the garage (see pics in gallery)

I'm not DIY friendly yet so it's not easy for me, but not impossible either. The main stumbling block is the cost, so I'm doing this like a scrapheap challenge, and to be honest people throw away loads of stuff.

My pics are found in the link in my signature strip below.

well your rendering is spot on...

Ah, you mean my dad's rendering is spot on  Fortunately for me (and my two bro's), Dad worked for the council for many years doing joinery, building and flooring. I only wish he'd been a plumber and an electrician too :p

I'm from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, born n' bread!

Its no fun having a trade people rope you into doing every thing for em...
