so i have six little platy fry now and the are so cute. born exactly one week ago and cant wait to see them grow. don't know who the father is cuz i bought the mother pregnant, so i'm excited to see what they look like when they are adults!

i feed them when ever i can and i hope it's enough.

when will they get bigger?

when do they mature?

Congrats on your fry, regular water changes daily will promote their growth :good:

Congratulations on your fry. Try taking pictures for yourself. I find that my fry never seem to get bigger unless I have pictures and can compare pictures taken at different times. In my molly birthing tank I have noticed that the fry almost double their size in about 2 weeks but it never seems that way when I see them every day. When I have pictures to compare, the change is rather obvious.
To optimize growth rates, change water every day or two and feed several times each day. With that approach, you will see the maximum growth rate although it still might not be obvious to you unless you take lots of pictures to compare.

yes,my mickey mouse platy is a pale orange and her gravid is pink :)

yay they are now 2 and a half weeks old and i just put the biggest one into the tank with the adults. she was very social at first and my newest addition of guppies were following her around. today she is hiding away from the adults tho. i hope to release the other 5 from the breeder box soon.
