My First Fish For My First Cycled Tank..

You dont HAVE to add plants, but it would break up the tank into more areas.

Pah, have a poopy camera myself.

Minx - Also, I noticed one of them is pooing kind of red?

Im hoping its just the bloodworm passing through that it was fed in the shop?

Here is my old rams, hope it helps a little.

But yea, my male got sick for no apparent reason really, he became really pale and I had to put him down
The female was fine but she disappeared recently and I never found her body

My angelfish poops green because they eat plants, the poop is red when they eat blood worms

definatly looks like M / F and the chasing my guess is squabbling over territory both still pretty new to the tank in the video right?

you say you have oceanic rock? won't it dissolve and make hard water we all know how gbr's hate hard water

they are pretty and will get better with age

Just thought id give a little update:

Done readings today after a nice 50% w/c yesterday and my ammonia and nitrite are both 0ppm so im really chuffed, as I was expecting to be doing a w/c today.

They have came out in colors so much more now, and they always are together, when one swims away the other one is like "hey wait up dont leave it"

Such amazing fish!

Yeah, I was so worried about the babys all day long.

Minx I have another video, with a full tank shot, I will upload it to youtube if you want to see?

nice big tank!

i think a few plants etc would be nice, my rams love to swim in the plants, and they prefer a smooth surface to lay eggs on just to let you know. You do have a Male and Female, but like i said males can be picky about the lady mate :p

they look very cute

did you see the little gold rams in maidenhead? they were so cute lol

I didnt seem them tbh bagu lol, I have a few flat surfacesin different places.

What are signs of mating, just incase so I can keep an eye out?

- I know its very unlikely that they breed, but I like to be prepared :good:

Not to throw a spanner in the works but you do know Ocean rock buffers your PH don't you? I used to use it in my Marine tank.

Also your not keeping those ###### sexy Juwels with them are you? because they will kill those rams very quickly,I had to rehome my Juwel because it took down one of my Firemouths.
