I have an Ehiem canaster filter, I dont know the number for it but its a smaller one.
The pick up tube isnt long enough to make it to the bottom, and the return is a spray bar.

From the bubbles and stuff in the tank I can see that the water flow goes from the back to the front and then jsut kinda creates turbulance, I have tried moving the spray bar up and down and rotating it, but it seems to do the same thing.

I thought of putting it vertically next to the picup and spray it around the back of the tank, but dont know if this is good or not.

I also thought about getting one of htem jet heads, which looks just like the ruturn tube thats a bit squished, but wouldnt know if that would be too strong a current, nor how i wuld aim that.

Thanks for any help

You can position the spraybar vertically, or pointing towards the back. I have tanks with it set up both of those ways.
