my female has lines on her side now but he did not make any bubble nest should i still breed them

No and here is why. When she spits out the eggs where will the male put them? He must have a nest....either give him more time or get another male.

sometimes a male betta will not build a nest until the female is placed into his tank. This isnt unusual and happens to me occasionally. Put her in and keep a watch on them for several hours. If nothing has happened by then remove her. She may not be his idea of the perfect mate.

A divider could also get the bubble nest going... You need the bubble nest, though...
