I put a post on her asking a few questions about convict behavior and mating cause I thought they were going to start mating but I guess they already did I noticed yesterday there were a bunch of eggs under a rock so I jus wanted to know is there any thing I need too do to make sure they all hatch like change water temperature or anything

The conditions are right because they laid. Keep the water clean and don't move them. Is this their first time breeding?

If its there first time there maybe a chance they will eat the eggs, this does happen from time to time. Do your water changes as normal, just be careful not to go too near the parents as they will defend their eggs (and nips can hurt). If they hatch the eggs, again wc as normal until the fry are free swimming and the egg sack has gone. You can then start feeding the fry using either, crushed flake, or crushed cichlid pellets (I use a pill crusher), newly hatched brine shrimp, fresh or frozen, cyclops is another excellent fry food available in frozen form, you just need to cut a small amount off the block. Once you are feeding the fry you will need to do more water changes and monitor your water conditions carefully (more waste production).

Convicts are really easy to breed and are brilliant parents.

Are the convict eggs supposed too grow, a few a hours ago I noticed the male harassing the female an eating the eggs so I removed him the female has not touched the eggs jus jus checks on them every few minutes but to me it looks as tho nothing is happening cause its jus a bunch of little clear looking eggs don't look like there's a embryo its the 3rd day since the female has laid the eggs
