My Favorite Wilds

hey guys. i've collected many cichlids and i've realized i've come to like a few of them more over the others (but dont tell them)
anyways, here are my favorite three:

Black Acara - i think this guy just looks and behaves like a natural born "cool" fish.

Salvini - this guy has grown a lot in a few months. I love the coloration (i have other salvinis with stronger red, but i really like the markings on this one more) - look at the teeth!

Jaguar - I have two of these guys and they're awesome to watch. Feeding time is just so much fun. I don't know why but this week they've had this really dark black coloration to them that is new and just beautiful

hope you enjoyed the pics.

if anyone can shed some light on why both jaguars have such accented black markings (first time this week since i've had them) that would be great too!

as to jaguar cichlids, when young they seem to then go quite black but suddenly one day they will be big and all sexy, my old brutis in this link,my friend has him in a 350us and still going strong...

sometimes mine would go nearly jet black like the colours had run,

My favorite is the Salvini. I love the organge-red color on this guy! You are very fortunte to own such a beautiful fish!
