My Dwarf Lion Fish!

I love him! He is buisy searching for a nice cave. I think he has taken to a whole underneath my button coral. He has been gliding round, and hasnt shown interest in the clowns. Although one might get taken when he grows, the other should be safe. He is taking Brine shrimp and feeders. I plan to get him off feeders (health reasons mainly) and try get him onto live or frozen Shrimp or Cockle.

I was in UDA the other day and was sorrly tempted to get one, ended up leaving with a Pair of Lyretail Anthias

Thanks Nav. I was thinking about my inverts etc, but I have two Hermits (Large), and one (Large) cerith snail. I hope they wont get taken, but they are too big for the Lion ATM.

Haha, Thanks Aquascaper. I would prefer that too, but when I saw him, I couldnt refuse. Im thinking about developing a divider which I can place in tank to keep him well away from my hands. But for now, ill just be extra precautious, and only go in tank when I can see him.

my friend used to have a lion fish and he fed him lots of stuff like goldifsh but now he has a shark that will get 3.5 feet big right now is 7 inches and eats ghost shrimp

i have'nt had a problem with mine eating my inverts, but he will eat anything that you put in the tank, flakes and frozen foods

Sweat. My lion seems to watch the pellets fly around, but never takes to them. He goes for the moving stuff!

30gallons is recomended. My tank is 20 gallons. I will either increase the water volume by a fuge/sump or buy another tank to accomodate him when he grows.

i suggest for getting in the aquarium with the lion i would net him in a large net just lay it at the top of the aquarium while you ajust minor things

When I do need to adjust things, I keep a watchful eye. He isnt that curious, just tends to watch from a distance. When I changed my aquascape last weekend, I got my mother over to watch him all the time I was in tank.
