here is why im not to keen on fishies lol

last xmas, i was bought a huge tank, probs about 1m x 1m x 1m, and also a big stand, i was soooo happy, welllllllll, that was until about 2 months after i got it ....

it was about 6am and i was fast asleep, then i heard the most weirdest noise, i just thought it was my alarm, but when i opend my eyes, i saw my fishtank, gushing out with water ....

i shouted to my mom, she didnt know what i ws on about n got in a stress, then she come up stairs, my whole bedroom was flooded, it even got onto my bed n that was wet.

my mom was trying to hold the glass together, i grabbed the phone and called my dad, when he came home, we put all the fish in a bucket, but all the water was out of the tank, i went down stairs and walked in the front room, the water has soaked through the ceiling and down into the tv, and out the bottom, the ceiling looked like it was going to collapse ....

i had a spare tank, so i set that up, after a very long time of sorting out my room from the water, then after about 2 weeks of setting that up, i ws downstairs and heard a huge bang, i went into my room to find my fishtank smashed and stand collapsed, MORE WATER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all i can say is that me n fish tanks dont have much luck, well the flippin huge ones anyway,

Rest assured that this is not the norm & very unusual..... Be not disheartened by this very bad experience in the dawn days of your fishkeeping... A bad start like this can only get better....

it didnt fall because it was lopp sided, it was because the glass cracked the whole way down, and on the 2nd one, the stand give way, it wasnt to do with the levels....

What makes are the tank as if they less than a year old I would want my money back.

Its abit funny that both tanks have cracked and I agree it could be because the flooring not strong enough for the tank.

but i dont understand how the floor was the problem, the 1st one could have been a dodgey glass, n the 2nd one just didnt have a strong enough stand, so were did the floor idea come from ??

The floor might not be strong enough to support the weight of the tank.
How many gallons was it.
Even door stairs some people have to strengthen there floors for very large tanks.
