theres lots of room, but yes they will be getting moved out once bigger.

+1, since for most fish, its not about height, but surface area, and urs has little. fun tank, but not very practical imo.

I understand the surface comment, but honestly I have 2x260 litre, and 1x180 litres as well, and the plecs especially swim far more in this 270 cylinder. They have 3.5 feet of vertical swimming which they seem to love! Understand your comments though.

no offence byt , to you they seem to love it but in reality its the oppposite . theres very little space in that tank and they swim like that because thats all they CAN do . do them a favour ,forget about your personal entartainment and put them in your other tanks which are much more suitable . as said already its the footprint of a tank which is the most important . with very few exceptions the height is negligable . . sorry to come across harshly but often the reality of something like this isnt what you want to hear .

This is kinda what i was getting at with my comment, sorry didnt mean to start throwing the mud or more of it to follow, but these fish are not ones for being active, swimming around a lot etc. They have little to no cover and cant shy away out of sight like they often want to. Its a nice tank, dont get me wrong, but its not a tank for these sort of fish.
