My CoryCats do the usual bottom cleaning, but have come to help me even more. They even pick out uneaten food that got drawn into my pre filter HOB sponges at feeding time. So cool. These fish are the best…..fun to watch and important to the tank.

That's one of the best things about the sponge prefilters. That food would have gone into your filter and been wasted.
My tetras and cichlids regularly pick food off the prefilters.

Nice corys! They are very tidy cleaners indeed. I was given two as a gift from a family member whose house burned down. Insulation fell into the tank, killing everything except them. They both sadly passed a good while ago, but I was astonished by how hardy they were!
