I have reecntly bought 15 Gallon Tank
Its stocked with
5 x Zebra Daino's
4 x Platys
1 x Siamese Fight Fish
2 x Op Guarmi's

I just wondered If I could get a cleaner fish like catfish or something, If I am already overstocked pelase tell me, the tank isnt permament only until I finish decorating my room which will be about a month then I will get a tank somewhere in the region for 60 gallon and upwards.

Length - 60CM
Height - 35CM
Depth - 30CM

thats the measurements for the current tank.

I think that you will be able to get away with your current stocking for a time, provided you have good filtration and are doing weekly water changes of around 25-30%

But, Idealy Opaline Gouramis should be kept in a 20G or larger as they will get to around 6" and can become quite territorial in a smaller tank
keeping danios and a betta is also not a good idea IMO as i feel sooner or later your bettas fins will start to get chewed.

5 x Zebra Daino's = 7.5G
4 x Platys = 6G
1 x Siamese Fight Fish = 3G
2 x Op Guarmi's = 20G

= 36.5G

^^^ this gives you an idea of the volume of water required for these fish if they were all fully grown. as said above i think they will be ok for a time but the quicker the tank is upgraded the less problems you will face.

Thanks
Dave

Ye Ill try getting everything done as quick as possible in my room so I can get the bigger tank, if i see they are unhappy or are growing far too big then I will put them in my friends tank. Also when I get the bigger tank, Ill leave the daino's in the smaller tank and keep that running at the same time

Many thanks for the reply

I agree about the gouramis. You also need to be careful with the siamese fighting fish. They are best kept alone in a 1-2 gallon aquarium. They cen be nippy to the other fish, and fatal to each other. Also, sometimes when you keep them in larger spaces they get ripped or torn fins from swimming too much.

At the moment the Gourami's Seem playful and wont leave eachothers side, And I kinda see your point about the Betta as he swims around alone, although in the morning he goes and swims with the daino's for a while......Strange lol

Many ThankS
