My Bettas Ill Please Help

hi, i'm in need of some info on my siamese fighting fish (simon). for about a week or so he has had what looks like a boil under his chin, me and my girlfriend were hopeing that this would dissapear in time but i woke up this morning and found the boil had got a lot larger and now looks like a open wound with white lump within the skin! it looks really painful for him and we are really worried any help would be greatfully received

Check the water stats. Make sure his water is crystal an keep it that way. Add a little disolved aquarium salt which is always acceptable with Bettas, as far as I know to date. Get a clear pic if possible.

Is the white cottony looking?

I can't say from what you have posted so far.
