I have been waiting to do a really big clean of the tank untill my Betta came out of his sulky period. Well is has been out of it for a week now, so with this water change I decided to remove all the decoration plants etc to get the dirt underneath, he has a nasty habbit of hording food in his cave .. espically treats and his peas (he loves them) he will get them in his mouth then spit them out in the cave, don't know if this is normal or not, but it is a pain when trying to clean. Anyway, removed all the stuff to give the sand a really good clean and stir got everything back in and he is MAD at me. Everytime I walk by the tank he comes right out and flares at me until I leave  . Well definately out of his sulky period now.

Oh yeah, he forgave me last night when the blood worms came out

 They all have such personalities. I can't imagine my betta hoarding his food, he's far too greedy to save any for later. After I've fed him he'll go down and try to hoover up the food for the corys and loaches off the sand. He likes to put loads in his mouth until he can't eat and then spit it all out. Gross.

mine refuse to eat off the floor, if it hits the floor its inedible!

That is the thing that really bugs me about it. If he was hording it to eat it later it wouldn't bug me. But he eats some, then gets more then spits it into his cave and leaves it there. He won't eat off the bottom eithor, it like he is saying, well I don't want it but I don't want anyone else to have it eithor  The weirdest thing is his only tank mate is a snail, so it is not like he is in compition for food. I was giving him 2 peletts twice a day, so I thought I would try just giving him 1 pellet twice a day, but if I only give him 1 then that is the one he spits into his gave and he won't eat it, so I have to give im 2 so he will at least eat one of them. He is just weird.
