Goodness you have a lot. Are you a breeder? I know some breeders keep their Bettas in jars on shelves like that.
They are very beautiful Bettas.

yes sir im a breeder
and im gonna keep posting my collection for share in here

I guess my feelings are at least it's not permanent- it's until they're adopted out. And they all do look very healthy and very well cared for- that's at least a plus.
I know I personally couldn't be a breeder because I would wind up feeling bad for them and their lack of living space.

I agree. It's not right to have them there permanent but breeders can't have a 20litre tank for all their betta fry.
Aslong as there healthy and not there for ever and they seem happy enough.
Also I don't think you can compare this to betta fighting
Everyone has there own opinion though :)

hm...
to all of u guys
thx for posting here
first of all i just want to clear something first
if 1 fish must put on (appropriate) tank it wont be on 1L aquarium or a jar but if i have about 100 male, 60 female and about 600babies and juvenille where should i put all of my fish if i have to put it on a place that may not be so cruel
second of it i try to keep all my fish healthy and well treated
i change half of the tank water everyday and keep the water clean
i do gave them food (frozen blodworms) twice a day.
and the last thing
i dont use my bettas for fighting coz if i do that it wold be cruel and takes a long time to heal the fish fin

sorry if i wrote something wrong
im not so good in english

I can't help but think it just looks really cruel!!!

Yeah but that's how breeders do it I think.

Just because thats how its done doesn't make it right. I'm sorry but I dont see how people who care about fish can do that. In my mind it's no better than the people who watch males fight.
I agree, I know my betta isn't in the largest tank (3 liters) but he is clean, well fed and very active. I tried moving him to a bigger home but he freaked, got all depressed and wouldn't eat. I put him back in the 3 liter and he is so happy. I hate seeing them in those little cups though.

I used to say the same thing about it being cruel but now thinking as a breeder its not as long as you keep up with the water changes as the OP does :good:

I love this black and white Male :hyper:
