Hi-

Trying not to panic as much as I used to with earlier bettafriends who got sick--Yesterday, I thought I noticed his eyes being a little puffed out. And he wasn't eating very much--which for him is strange--he's a little vacuum. I changed the water and then today saw that his eyes were still (more) a little swollen and he seemed lethargic and not too interested in food.

So I had some tetracycline in the house (figured I'd treat him for popeye) and gave him his first dose today. Hopefully, I can catch this early--so it doesnt progress. He seemed somewhat listless--hanging out at the top of the tank--leaning against things--BUT HE WAS CONTINUOUSLY BLOWING BUBBLES, that silly guy! Although he did play with me a little.

So please say some prayers for my little buddy.

And happy holidays to all!

Thanks. -Wendy :fish: :fish: :fish:  -_-

Wendy will keep my fingers crossed hopefully you have caught him in time. I keep thinking my 2 OAPs look funny but then they have just told me off so I think they are just daydreaming. :good: to your little fishy.

Thanks so much. He's still not eating--although he's pretty peppy! I just pray that he gets better and hope I'm not overmedicating him.

-Wendy

From what Bettatalk.com says, it shouldn't be too fatal as long as it doesn't mean an internal problem. Bless him and good luck.
