Here is my baby belly for this pregnancy.

I am currently 33.5 weeks, last photo was taken today, its the pic of me up against the tv cabenit, 1st pic of my belly comes up as you click on the link. I am in a dusty pink top with jeans.

If you run your mouse over the pics, it tells you how many weeks I am.

I feel huge, I look huge and everywhere I go people say "you must be about to pop" and I say "no not for another 6 weeks" and people are shocked.

I have am having a caesarean on the 19th April, that will make me 39 weeks.

Just thought I would show everyone because I get so many nice pm's wishing me good luck or lots of well wishes in some threads.

Oh my goodness!!! :hyper: It looks either you're having a big baby, or you're having twins!!! What did the ultrasound say? (Can't remember if you had one recently) I'm amazed at how you managed to stay relatively skinny all these months though :)

Doctor said big baby, much much bigger than my last, thats why I am having a caesar.

I have only gained 10kg with this bub, I am all out at the front, a little on my bum, but with my daughter I gained 30kg and was round all over.

Wow great pics. I wish I'd done that while I was pregnant. I only got to 7months before having an emergency caesarian and I can't imagine what you must feel like now, I was uncomfortable then!!! My best friend is 8 weeks pregnant now and she loved seeing your pics. :good:

CRICKEY :hyper: . That is a super huge bump. How is the weather down there in Oz at the moment?? You must be finding it really hard being so nice a big in summer. I was also extra big with my second son. He was very small, only 2.5kg's, but I had over 5 litres of amniotic fluid!! He was born in late Spring, back in South Africa and I really battled with the heat and being so preggers. My daughter was born here in the UK and most of my pregnancy was in summer. I really didn't like the humidity and being preggers. Plus looking after 2 boys as well.

Good luck and look forward to plenty pics of the little man once he arrives. Have you thought of any names yet??

;)

Yep it is a super bump, especially for my tiny stature of 5'1, petitie etc

This one is a boy, I already have a girl, so we are very excited about having a pigeon pair.

Yes it has been a very big struggle through this heat. Weather has been hitting 39 degrees celcius but today is only going to be 23, so a lovely change.

By the end of the day my feet are so swollen from the heat I can hardly walk on them and most of my day I sit in bra and undies. I have hardly been dressed at home all summer. I just cant handle the heat even with air con.

My daughter was born in June 2005, so it was nice to be able to spend my last couple of months in coolish weather.

I cant wait till my pregnancy is over. I have seriously had enough!

Thats such a lovely idea, I wish I'd thought of taking photos of myself when I was pregnant. My little girls fascinated with babies / pregnancy etc, so it would have been something lovely to have shown her. sadly I spent my whole pregnancy running away from the camera!
Do u know how much he's going to weigh? When I was 36 weeks, they told me Rhianna weighed 8lb 3,and when she was born, she weighed 9lb 7oz. (and they refused to let me have a caesarian either!! I was not amused!!)

Doc says he is going to weigh about 8 pound ++, my daughter was 6 pound, 16hr labour, interventions (dont want to go into detail about it on here it might gross out the guys but you know what I am talking about) and it was giong to be an emergency cesar but eventually she popped out after 2hrs of pushing.

So when I had my ultrasound the other day and the calculated how big he is, my doc said by the time of my EDD, he will be far far to big for my body to be able to push him out.

So I am having a elective caesar on the 19th of April, I know its going to be painful, but physically, emotionally and mentally this option is much much better for me.

I still have nightmares of my daughters birth and that was nearly 2yrs ago. It effected my husband and I immensly (in our heads). He saw what was going on it and it was not nice and I felt what was going on and it was terrible.

I had an emergency Caesarian with my daughter and it was fine. I felt them moving around inside me and was a little uncomfortable but not as bad as I thought it'd be. I now know that I will have to have a caesar with any future children I am not worried in the slightest. Yes it was painful afterwards but I was back in work (part time in a shop) after 2 weeks. Just a tip for you... make sure you get some good control pants. :good: I was terrified of popping my stitches and having the control pants for the first few weeks made me feel much more secure even though it was agonising the first few times putting them on. Oh and be careful the first time you stand up afterwards

you are soo pretty/beautiful

Am I? Wow thanks. I havent had anyone tell me that in a long time..not even the husband..

And control pants, what are they? Are they those biggish tight undies that go sort of like over your belly button? Do I just get them in the under wear department? I am not used to buying underwear like that..

I am dreading my first time of walking. God I am dreading the pain..but nothing can be worse than my 1st labour 16hrs and the rest (god it was shocking)..

Yeah the tight knickers that are meant to hold your belly in to make you look thinner :good: You should get them in any decent underwear shop. The first couple of days walking will hurt but try and get moving asap as it definately gets easier. The faster you get up and about the quicker you'll heal. There are little tricks to post caesar life but I'm not putting them on here for general consumption  If you want a chat PM me...there's loads of stuff the midwives don't tell you (nothing bad)

A month after the baby is born you'll be wondering why you worried about it...I promise

I'm glad I'm a guy!!

You look wonderful rhiannon...amazing how you can change so much in just 2 - 3 weeks in some of those pictures!! I study fertility and development so seeing your photographs is pretty facinating....you dont see that in text books :)

Thanks scorphonic.

Yes they dont show you that in text books (I studied midwifery), they just show you the big bellies having ultrasounds etc, so it is good to see how a womans body differentiates between weeks/months.

I thought I would put it up here for people to see how proud I am of my bump, and also so they can be prepared for when they get pregnant or their wives get pregnant.

Sianeds, yes I would like to hear about post caeser life, and thanks for the tips.

Rhiannon

Well let me know what you want to know about and I'll tell you! To be honest I can't wait to have another baby caesar and all!! My daughter is nearly 2 now and I am so unbelievably broody!! As a midwife you probably know a fair bit already but I do think you'll be surprised at how quickly you're up and about afterwards  Having a little one to look after aswell will get you moving.
