right, had another shufty round with the tank as I am getting ridof my community tank.

I popped Hunter in the betta tank, so it now goes:

far left = Terry (again - he hated being in the other section)
second left = Nemo
middle = six girls
second right = Hunter
far right = Flea.

Terry is EXTREMELY happy to be back in "his" section, is currently flaring happily with Hunter and bubble nest building. Being next to the girls did nothing for him! so after putting him back I came down this morning to find his pea snack tucked happily in the nest, and got very upset as I had to remove it as it has been in his tank too long.

Hunter doesnt know what to flare at, he turns and flares at the girls, then turns and flares at Flea. He will then charge to the front of the divider and flare at whoever is looking in on him! He flares at my finger too til he realises its me, then goes off and flares at one of the other Bettas, then continues to make a bubble nest! considering he started doing this within half hour of being in the section I was amazed!

The girls are happy now too as I gave the bully girl to my sister for her tank. everyones colour has returned, and theyre happily flaring and displaying to Hunter

one of the blue girls is OBSESSED with Hunter, she wont stop displaying to him, and even has breeding stripes!

Nemo is happily flaring at Terry but i do catch him flaring at the girls! (not as much as Terry though  )

And Flea bless her is stuck with some java fern on bogwood and an IAL leaf! But she just dawdles on as usual!

Will get pics up ASAP but I doubt it will be today as its Christmas, so everyone, enjoy :D

I would LOVE to see pictures!!!! your set up sounds amazing!

Liam - a member on here. He's breaking his tanks down and needed them gone, gave them for free too!

Will get some pics up later on/tomorrow :good:

Excuse the state of the tank as its cleaning day tomorrow

Great! :) Nice purpule colours!

Those Female bettas need a lot of fin re-growth! :) Plenty of water changes and live food will help! :) Good Luck!

Thanks Aly. I was giving them a chance to settle with christmas and everything I havent had chance to do changes yet. But will start tomorrow. All that fin damage was caused by the one female i sent to my sisters tank - she had NO damage at all! Shes doing well in my sisters community tank and isnt bullying anyone.

yeah Keithp, she was born in August apparently, I bought her not knowing how "disabled" she is.

She doesnt have a tail at all either.

She copes very well though!

If I was buying a betta I would look for one that needs the most help. :) They deserve a chance at a good life too. :)

Oh ok.

The 'bully' was most likely the dominant one. If you want to put her back in your tank, just float her there with the others already in there. She will see that, that territory is no longer hers alone, so the aggression should be reduced.

Good luck! :)

she is so feisty!

I love her enthusiasm at EVERYTHING!

Always the first up the front of the tank and swims well considering

thanks Aly, somehow i missed this post...

I tried that, I had put her in her own compartment for the night, put her back in and immediately she was attacking everyone. The girls are all happier now so I will leave it with the good steady balance currently going!
