Live plants are pretty, but weirdly enough, I like plastic plants better -- and not because they are easier to care for.

And to clarify, it's 2.5 U.S. gallons. It's approx. 10 litres. I would never use a tank as small as 2.4 litres! Even a 2.5 gallon is small, but it's only for my babies!
